On April 22, the world celebrated the 49thEarth Day. It is the single biggest environmental celebration in the world, participated by over a billion people in more than 190 countries worldwide. On April 22, 2019, more than 20 volunteers participated in Earth Day activities in Toronto, Ontario, Canada by planting shrubs, and trees. The event encouraged people to avoid single-use and disposable plastics, reduce the plastic footprint, and conserve water.
