On March 14, 2015, BAPS Charities proudly presented a donation cheque of $20,000 to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation’s Billion Dollar Campaign for personalized cancer care. The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre is one of the top 5 cancer research centres in the world. This donation was part of a larger commitment of $100,000 to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
Maureen Fisher, Senior Development Officer, Leadership Giving, The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation accepted the cheque and said about the volunteers of BAPS Charities, “Your community does such a wonderful job supporting and mentoring your youth! On behalf of the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, thank you for your generosity!”
Most recently, BAPS Charities also presented a milestone cheque for $100,000 to the Sick Kids Foundation in support of the life-saving work of the Hospital for Sick Children – recognized as one of the world’s foremost pediatric health-care institutions. BAPS Charities, has been serving the community in Canada for many years by hosting medical fairs, walkathons, health awareness seminars, disaster relief operations, bone marrow registry drives and much more.
