On Saturday, October 13, 2018, BAPS Charities hosted the 1st annual community Health Fair in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. Over 250 individuals benefitted from the volunteer services provided by more than 40 physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals who donated their time to advise participants on preventative care and provide tips to improve general health as well as mental wellbeing.
Specialties included: Internal Medicine/Family practice; Ophthalmology/Optometry; Dentistry; Physical Therapy (Physiotherapy), Chiropractor; Homeopathy; Yoga & Pranayama; Prostate Health; Diabetes; Prescription Medication Consultation; Mental Health; Sleep Apnea.
Screening Tests included: Blood pressure; Diabetic/glucose screening; Dental exam; Eye exam; Bone density screening/DEXA; Audiometry/Hearing Screening; Blood Type Classification.
Health Lecture: Dr. Amit Oza on Cancer Awareness, University Health Network (Princess Margaret Cancer Centre)
