On August 11, 2024, BAPS Charities hosted its annual “In The Joy Of Others: Walk-Run” in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, benefiting the lifesaving work of two national beneficiaries: the William Osler Health System Foundation and the CNIB Foundation.
This year’s event drew over 175 participants from the community, including Councillor Bev Dubois of the City of Saskatoon.
The walk aimed to raise awareness and funds for health initiatives and other charitable activities organized by BAPS Charities. Participants of all ages, from youth to seniors, came together for a common cause.
The William Osler Health System is one of Canada’s largest community healthcare networks, comprising Brampton Civic Hospital, Etobicoke General Hospital, and the Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness.
The CNIB Foundation, formerly known as the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, is a non-profit organization providing innovative programs and advocacy for individuals affected by blindness.
The event not only encouraged a healthier lifestyle but also highlighted the significant impact of collective efforts in addressing local needs and challenges.
