On August 11, 2024, BAPS Charities hosted its annual “In The Joy Of Others: Walk-Run” event in Regina, Saskatchewan. The event supported the lifesaving work of two national beneficiaries: the William Osler Health System Foundation and the CNIB Foundation.
This year’s walk brought together over 150 community members, including Michael Kram, Member of Parliament, and Gene Makowsky, Minister of Social Services and Member of the Legislative Assembly.
The walk aimed to raise awareness and funds for health initiatives and other charitable activities organized by BAPS Charities. Participants of all ages, from youth to seniors, came together for a common cause.
The William Osler Health System is one of Canada’s largest community healthcare networks, including Brampton Civic Hospital, Etobicoke General Hospital, and the Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness.
The CNIB Foundation, formerly the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, is a non-profit organization that provides innovative programs and advocacy for people affected by blindness.
The event offered participants an opportunity to promote a healthier lifestyle while emphasizing the significant impact of collective efforts in addressing local needs and challenges.
