BAPS Charities organized a food drive in Regina, SK, and donated more than 370 pounds of non-perishable food items to the Regina Food Bank on January 4, 2024.
The escalating costs of essential commodities such as food, fuel, accommodation, and transportation have significantly burdened many individuals and families, particularly children, single mothers, international students, and seniors. Regrettably, many find themselves in the distressing situation of having insufficient funds to provide for even the most basic necessity—food.
Recognizing the gravity of the situation, BAPS Charities, in the spirit of service, organized food drives to support local food banks.
“It is with this support that we can assist those less fortunate in our community. With your continued support, we will ensure that no one in our community goes hungry,” said John Bailey, CEO of Regina Food Bank. “The Regina Food Bank depends solely on community support in its work to assist individuals and families maintain a healthy, positive, quality life. Support, such as yours, helps us immensely achieve this goal.”
Similar food drives were organized by BAPS Charities in over 13 cities across Canada, collectively donating over 10,000 lbs. of food.
