On July 27, 2024, BAPS Charities held its annual “In The Joy Of Others: Walk-Run” in Ottawa, Ontario, supporting the crucial efforts of two national beneficiaries: the William Osler Health System Foundation and the CNIB Foundation.
The walk attracted over 200 community members, including City of Ottawa Councillor Glen Gower. Participants of all ages, from youth to seniors, came together to raise awareness and funds for health initiatives and other charitable activities coordinated by BAPS Charities.
The William Osler Health System, one of the largest community healthcare systems in Canada, includes Brampton Civic Hospital, Etobicoke General Hospital, and Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness.
The CNIB Foundation, formerly known as the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing innovative programs and advocacy for those affected by blindness.
This event not only promoted healthier lifestyles among participants but also highlighted the significant impact of community collaboration in addressing local healthcare needs and challenges.
