On July 28, 2024, BAPS Charities held its annual “In The Joy Of Others: Walk-Run” in Montreal, Quebec. The event supported the vital efforts of two national beneficiaries: the William Osler Health System Foundation and the CNIB Foundation.
This year, the walk brought together more than 150 community members, including Brigitte Garceau, a Member of the National Assembly of Quebec. Participants contributed to raising awareness and funds for health initiatives and other charitable activities organized by BAPS Charities. The event attracted a diverse group of participants, ranging from youth to seniors, all united for a common cause.
The William Osler Health System is one of the country’s largest community health care systems, encompassing three integrated hospitals: Brampton Civic Hospital, Etobicoke General Hospital, and the Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness.
The CNIB Foundation, previously known as the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, is a non-profit organization that offers innovative programs and advocacy for those affected by blindness.
The walk provided an opportunity for participants to promote a healthier lifestyle and highlighted the significant impact of collective action in addressing local needs and challenges.
