BAPS Charities volunteers are assisting 27 families to find accommodations and set up new places of residence in Edmonton while they wait to find out if they will be able to return to their houses in Fort McMurray. To ensure children’s education is not interrupted, volunteers are assisting 26 evacuee families to register their children in local schools.
Each family has been provided a relief kit to set up their new home in Edmonton. Each kit includes:
- 27 cooking utensils & dinnerware (pressure cooker, utensils, dinner set, tea set and other utensils)
- 108 bedroom sets include (set of mattress, comforter, bed sheets, pillow, towels, napkins)
- 27 sets of toiletries
