On July 27, 2024, BAPS Charities held its annual “In The Joy Of Others: Walk-Run” in Cambridge, Ontario, to support the essential work of two national organizations: the William Osler Health System Foundation and the CNIB Foundation.
The event brought together over 250 participants, including Mayor Jan Liggett, Councillor Helen Shwery from the City of Cambridge, and Chief Mark Crowell of the Waterloo Regional Police Service. This diverse group, ranging from youth to seniors, came together to raise funds and awareness for health initiatives and other charitable efforts organized by BAPS Charities.
The William Osler Health System is one of Canada’s largest community healthcare systems, encompassing Brampton Civic Hospital, Etobicoke General Hospital, and the Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness.
The CNIB Foundation, previously known as the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, is a nonprofit organization committed to providing innovative programs and advocacy for those affected by blindness.
This event not only encouraged participants to adopt healthier lifestyles but also highlighted the significant impact of collective community efforts in addressing local healthcare needs and challenges.
