On July 13, 2024, BAPS Charities organized its annual “In The Joy Of Others: Walk-Run” in Calgary, Alberta. The event supported the critical work of two national beneficiaries: the William Osler Health System Foundation and the CNIB Foundation.
This year’s walk attracted over 325 participants from the Calgary community, including Councillor Raj Dhaliwal. Together, they raised awareness and funds for health initiatives and other charitable activities spearheaded by BAPS Charities. Participants of all ages, from youth to seniors, came together to support a shared cause.
The William Osler Health System, one of the largest community healthcare systems in Canada, includes Brampton Civic Hospital, Etobicoke General Hospital, and the Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness.
The CNIB Foundation, once known as the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, is a nonprofit organization that offers innovative programs and advocacy for those affected by blindness.
The event not only fostered a healthier lifestyle among participants but also highlighted the significant impact of collective efforts on addressing local healthcare needs and challenges.
