As the world basked in the glow of Diwali, the festival of lights, BAPS Charities embraced the essence of this auspicious occasion, channelling the spirit of joy, generosity, and community service into a meaningful collaboration with OzHarvest.
This partnership was a beacon of hope and support for those in need, illuminating the path of kindness beyond the festive season and into the new year.
From November 12th to December 21st, 2023, the warmth of giving enveloped various communities across Victoria as BAPS Charities initiated a heartfelt campaign to assemble food kits for families facing hardships. These kits, brimming with essentials such as long-life milk, cereal, pasta, and spaghetti, were not just parcels of food but bundles of hope and care meticulously gathered through the generous contributions of our community members. More than 149 kits were provided, a total value of $3725, a testament to our supporters’ collective compassion and empathy.
The timing of this initiative, aligning with the Christmas season, added an extra layer of significance to our efforts.
As one OzHarvest volunteer remarked, the choice of this period for our donation was opportune, resonating with the universal themes of joy, togetherness, and giving that define this time of the year.
This collaboration between BAPS Charities and OzHarvest exemplifies the profound impact of united efforts in fostering positive change within our communities.
