In celebration of the 55th Earth Day, BAPS Charities organized a special environmental initiative on Sunday, April 20, 2025, uniting community members in a meaningful effort to promote a greener planet. Over 300 families received plants or seed kits to take home, with a call to plant them by Earth Day on April 22, 2025, as a personal step toward sustainability.
The initiative focused on fostering environmental stewardship at the family level, encouraging hands-on engagement in caring for the environment. This inspiring effort was made possible through support from local nurseries — Lisa Arnold Nursery, Western Star Nursery in Sunol, and Alden Lane Nursery in Livermore.
The event reflects BAPS Charities’ ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and community service, aligned with its broader mission to promote health, education, and humanitarian values worldwide.
BAPS Charities organizes various environmentally conscious projects throughout the year. From recycling initiatives to water conservation measures and promoting renewable energy solutions, they are driven by a deep moral commitment to the well-being of our planet. BAPS Charities Walkathons have helped plant 361,000 trees in North America.
