Los Angeles Wildfire Relief Efforts – Update – January 10th, 2025
As the fires continue to devastate the entire Los Angeles Area, BAPS Charities volunteers mobilized again to deliver much needed essential supplies to distribution centers.
Today, volunteers donated to a resource hub at ‘Nativo’ in the Highland Park/South Pasadena Park area as resident needs continue to grow. Keeping in mind what people need the most as they leave their homes behind, volunteers donated…
- 20 Blankets
- 1 Large First Aid Kit
- 7 Medium First Aid Kits
- 150 Feminine Hygiene Products
- 250 Whole Body Wipes
- 24 Pillows
As resource needs continue to grow, BAPS Charities in Los Angeles also announced a ‘Wildfire Donation & Volunteer Drive’ at the local BAPS Charities HQ in Los Angeles taking place tomorrow, Saturday, January 11th, 2025.
Volunteers will be collecting specific donations from community members as required by local agencies and organizations on the ground and then will dispatch the supplies throughout the day. Item’s being collected are:
- New Pillows, Blankets
- Feminine Hygiene Products
- Power Banks
- Body Wipes
- First Aid supplies
- Hygiene products like – toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, deodorant
- Baby Essentials (Diapers, Wipes, Formula)
- Items to serve meals – paper products, trash bags, paper towels, plastic servingware
- Water Bottles (whole cases)
- Packaged Snacks (whole unopened boxes)
- Hydration packs
Los Angeles Wildfire Relief Efforts – January 9th, 2025
In response to ongoing wildfire devastation, BAPS Charities launched a relief efforts across the Los Angeles Area. In less than 24 hours, volunteers mobilized to gather supplies and donation items that were requested by first responders and shelters.
Volunteers donated to two key relief hubs in the area.
The first donation was to ‘It’s Bigger Than Us (IBTU)’ which has converted its space into a massive resource distribution hub. The following items were donated here…
- 2,000 bottles of water
- 650 bottles of Gatorade
- 400 soap bars
- 400 shampoo bottles
- 500 toothbrushes
- 500 travel toothpaste
- 4 large First Aid Kits
- 20 sleeping bags
- 1,000 packaged snacks
