BAPS Charities Supports Local Families with Donations of Food, Clothing, and School Supplies in Robbinsville, NJ

Food insecurity remains a pressing challenge for millions of households in the United States. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), 13.5% of American households—approximately 18 million—faced food insecurity in 2023, an increase from 12.8% in 2022. This issue is especially severe among children, with nearly 14 million living in food-insecure households last year. The USDA defines food insecurity as the inability to consistently access sufficient, affordable, and nutritious food, posing serious implications for the health and well-being of affected families.

In response to this growing need, BAPS Charities organized a series of impactful donation drives on December 23, 2024, in Robbinsville, NJ, demonstrating their commitment to serving the community. Volunteers collected over 500 canned and dried food items for the Robbinsville Senior Center Food Pantry, supporting local families and individuals during the holiday season.

Additionally, BAPS Charities contributed to the Home Front Holiday Wishes drive by donating 30 coats to help individuals stay warm through the winter. Recognizing the importance of education, they also partnered with Legacy Treatment Services to collect 25 backpacks filled with essential school supplies, ensuring that students in need could begin the school year prepared.

These initiatives highlight BAPS Charities’ ongoing efforts to address critical community needs and bring hope to individuals and families facing challenging circumstances.
