On December 4, 2024, Mathari Mixed Secondary School received a generous donation from the Ladies Wing of BAPS Charities Kenya, Nairobi Chapter. The donation included 500 water bottles and 500 packets of sanitary pads, aimed at supporting the students’ well-being and promoting better health and hygiene practices.
The items were handed over during a brief ceremony attended by staff and students. Ms. Alice Wangui, the school’s Board Member, and Mr. Alfred Oriyaro, the school’s Principal, graciously accepted the donation on behalf of the school.
The donation will directly benefit the school’s 330 female students and 100 male students. The sanitary pads will provide much-needed support to the girls, ensuring they have access to essential hygiene products.
Ms. Wangui, Mr. Oriyaro, and the students expressed deep gratitude to BAPS Charities Kenya for their generosity, highlighting the positive impact this contribution will have on the students’ health and comfort
