BAPS Charities Responds to Tropical Storm Debby with Essential Aid in Southeast Georgia

Tropical Storm Debby brought severe flooding and damage to the Coastal Empire and Southeast Georgia, inundating homes, businesses, and entire communities with up to four feet of water. In response to the disaster, BAPS Charities quickly launched a relief initiative to aid those affected.

Volunteers from BAPS Charities swiftly joined forces with local authorities to assess the situation and provide essential support. In Savannah, they assembled 140 hygiene kits and distributed critical supplies, including canned food, water, paper goods, and cleaning materials, to assist 100 households across three counties.

In Richmond Hill, BAPS Charities ensured that 75 disaster relief volunteers received daily meals, maintaining their energy and commitment to the relief efforts.

This response is part of BAPS Charities’ longstanding commitment to supporting communities in times of crisis. The organization has a proven track record of aiding those affected by disasters, including earthquakes, wildfires, hurricanes, and the Ukraine humanitarian crisis. Their continued efforts demonstrate a deep dedication to helping communities in need.
