On July 27, 2024, BAPS Charities held its annual “In The Joy Of Others: Walk-Run” in Windsor, Ontario, supporting the critical work of two national beneficiaries: the William Osler Health System Foundation and the CNIB Foundation.
The event attracted over 250 participants, including notable community leaders such as Brian Masse, Member of Parliament; Mayor Drew Dilkens of Windsor; Councillor Kieran McKenzie of Windsor; and Constable Anthony Salloum from the Windsor Police Service. These participants, along with many others, helped raise awareness and funds for health initiatives and various charitable activities coordinated by BAPS Charities. The walk drew a wide range of participants, from young people to seniors, all united by a shared purpose.
The William Osler Health System, one of the largest community health care systems in Canada, includes three integrated hospitals: Brampton Civic Hospital, Etobicoke General Hospital, and the Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness.
The CNIB Foundation, once known as the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, is a nonprofit organization that offers innovative programs and strong advocacy for individuals affected by blindness.
This event not only encouraged participants to lead healthier lives but also emphasized the significant impact of collective efforts in addressing local needs and challenges.
