On July 20, 2024, BAPS Charities hosted its annual “In the Joy of Others: Walk-Run” in Columbus, OH. This year’s walk united over 250 community members to support BAPS Charities. Ohio State Representative Dr. Somani was also present to show her support for BAPS Charities and emphasize the community’s unity.
BAPS Charities provides philanthropic support to community organizations throughout North America, addressing education, health, and other local challenges. In the past 20 years, they have organized over 1,000 walkathons, supporting local hospitals, children’s organizations, schools, environmental causes, and various health issues like cancer and heart disease.
Besides walkathons, BAPS Charities organizes health awareness lectures, health fairs, blood and bone marrow drives, and flu vaccination drives. They also hold food drives, children’s health and safety days, and community activities, providing disaster relief, educational support, and environmental initiatives through partnerships with local organizations.
The event showcased a broad spectrum of participation, from youth to seniors, united for a common cause. It allowed participants to engage in a healthier lifestyle and highlighted the profound impact of collective efforts in addressing local needs and challenges.
