On June 15, 2024, BAPS Charities hosted its annual “In the Joy of Others: Walk-Run” in Washington, DC, benefiting Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School and the Beltsville Volunteer Fire Department. This year’s walk united nearly 350 community members and showcased a broad spectrum of participation, from youth to seniors, united for a common cause.
Ms. Elaine Ramos of MLK Jr. Middle School reflected on the event’s significance, saying, “This support is more than just financial; it provides encouragement, inspiration, and the confidence for our students to pursue their passions.”
The event offered participants an opportunity to engage in a healthier lifestyle while highlighting the profound impact collective efforts can have in addressing local needs and challenges.
