On June 9, 2024, BAPS Charities hosted its annual “In the Joy of Others: Walk-Run” in Sharon, MA, to support the Sharon Fire Department. This year’s walk united nearly 300 community members, including Sharon Select Board Member Xander Shapiro and Fire Chief Michael Madden. They joined the effort to support the Sharon Fire Department’s mission to provide fire prevention and emergency rescue services to everyone in the Town of Sharon. The event showcased a broad spectrum of participation, from youth to seniors, united for a common cause.
Fire Chief Michael Madden reflected on the event’s significance, saying, “We work as a team to accomplish our goal, and that’s exactly what this [BAPS Charities] organization does. They work together on behalf of others.”
The event not only provided an opportunity for participants to live healthier lifestyles but also highlighted the profound impact collective efforts can have in addressing local needs and challenges.
