On June 16, 2024, BAPS Charities hosted its annual “In the Joy of Others: Walk-Run” in Minneapolis, MN, benefiting the West Suburban Fire District. This year’s event united nearly 400 community members, including Minnesota State Representatives Kristin Robbins and Mary Clary; Dr. SK Dash, Chairman & Founder of Dash Foundation; Saraswati Singh, President of Asian Pacific Minnesotans; and Dashrath Yata, Executive Director of SEWA-Asian Indian Family Wellness. They joined forces to support the West Suburban Fire District and its mission to prevent fires and serve the community. The event saw a diverse range of participants, from youth to seniors, all coming together for a common cause.
Kristin Robbins of the West Suburban Fire District reflected on the event’s significance, saying, “I’m excited to celebrate the 25th annual BAPS Charities Walk-a-thon today! I am thankful they chose to donate the proceeds to the West Suburban Fire District this year, which will help our local firefighters serve our communities.”
The event provided an opportunity for participants to engage in a healthier lifestyle and highlighted the profound impact collective efforts can have in addressing local needs and challenges.
