On November 13, 2023, the Thika chapter of BAPS Charities Kenya planted 15 trees during a collaborative planting exercise as part of the National Tree Growing Day.
The Government of Kenya had designated this day as a public holiday to encourage public participation in tree planting. This initiative aligns with the country’s Landscape and Ecosystem Restoration Programme, aiming to grow 15 billion trees.
BAPS Charities volunteers worked hand in hand with partner organizations and the Area Sub Chief for this planting exercise. As part of its key area of Environmental Protection, BAPS Charities actively engages in such initiatives to contribute to the lasting positive impact on the environment.
