On May 22, 2022, BAPS Charities in Newington, CT, held In the Joy of Others: Walk-Run. The event was organized to support Susan G. Komen, Newington Volunteer Fire Department and Newington Police Department. Households and people of all ages took part, with over 350 members of the community participating in total.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the U.S. and worldwide. Across all walks of life, women & even men are affected by breast cancer directly or indirectly. Since its inception, Susan G. Komen has invested more than $2.9 billion in research, community health outreach, advocacy, and programs in over 60 countries.
