On 25 April 2020, BAPS Charities volunteers in Lenasia handed out personal care and hygiene packs to residents living in Lenasia, south of Johannesburg. Through partnership with local community leaders, approximately 100 residents living in squalid circumstances were identified as having a need for hygiene supplies to protect themselves from risks associated with the COVID-19 virus. Both residents and community leaders expressed their gratitude to BAPS Charities for providing assistance during this difficult time.
