With the assistance of generous sponsors and local businesses, BAPS Charities volunteers helped prepare and pack about 1500 hot vegetarian meals daily between 18 April and 30 April 2020. Approximately 19 500 meals were packed and distributed to local informal settlements in the Johannesburg north region, namely Kya Sands and Golden Harvest park. This was a result of a request from local community leaders in the North Riding area of Johannesburg to provide much needed food to those living in impoverished conditions.
