BAPS Charities, Luton, collected collected over 1,000 items of winter clothing for the homeless over December and January, as part of an on-going commitment to serve the needy in the local community.
Both children and adult volunteers collected a variety of warm pieces of clothing, including jumpers, jackets and trousers. These in turn were deposited at NOAH Enterprise, a Bedfordshire charity working to support the homeless from the streets and into the community.
Krupali Lalji, a lead volunteer at BAPS Charities in Luton, shared, “Our heart goes out to the homeless during these cold winter months. We’re thankful to everyone who donated and hope that the clothes can provide some warmth and comfort to those who need them most.”
