BAPS Charities, Coventry, collected collected over 120 items of winter clothing and food for the homeless on 10 January 2019, as part of an on-going commitment to serve the needy in the local community.
Both children and adult volunteers collected a variety of warm pieces of clothing, including jumpers, jackets and trousers, as well as a large collection of tinned food. These in turn were deposited at Coventry Winter Night Shelter, a charity that aims to make positive changes to the life of homeless people and the community around them.
Narendra Chauhan, a lead volunteer at BAPS Charities in Coventry, shared, “These clothes and food come with the love of so many people who have donated them. We sincerely hope it can provide some warmth and comfort during these bitterly cold winter months to those in need.”
