On the 16th of December 2018 Baps Charities volunteers visited a children’s orphan home by the name of Compassionate Hands For The Disabled Foundation (CHDF), which is located off the eastern bypass in Ruai Nairobi.
CHDF is run by its co-founder Anne Njeri who herself is partially disabled. The home was founded 10 years ago in the Korogocho slums and has now since been relocated to Ruai for the last one year. The CHDF home caters for 94 disabled children suffering from autism and cerebral palsy. The disabled children are taken care of by 15 full time caregivers.
In commemoration of the 98th Birthday celebrations of HDH Pramukh Swami Maharaj volunteers contributed food items to the foundation with a view to support the betterment of the lives of the children.
