Recent rains and strong winds in southern Tanzania during February, 2016 have caused heavy floods, and disaster. Due to this, 490 families were affected. The roofs of their house were blown away by strong wind.
The District commissioner of Ruangwa Village Ms. Mariam Mtima approached BAPS Charities for assistance. In response, the team of BAPS Charities led by their chairman Subhashbhai Patel handed over 4000 roofing sheets (each 3 meter long) and 200 kgs of roofing nails which worth of TSh. 50,000,000/- (US$ 22,700/-) to the District Commissioner and her team.
Ms. Mariam thanked BAPS Charities for their timely donation and also invited the volunteers to visit Ruangwa Village and witness the donation reaching the needy.
