On Sunday 14th June 2015 marked World Blood Donor Day, where the theme of the campaign was “Thank You for saving my life”. In support of this campaign and in an effort to drive collections BAPS Charities held its quarterly Blood Donation Drive in Lenasia, South Africa on this day.
Quarterly drives are held in major centres across the country to support the efforts of the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) to collect blood from donors to meet medical demand. On this occasion, a total of 27 pints of blood was collected thanks to the community and members of the public who responded to the call to donate. BAPS Charities will be hosting further donation drives across the country during the course of the year to support this worthy and important cause.
