On January 26, 2014, BAPS Charities organized a food drive at the Buguruni School for the Deaf and Dumb, which is a home and school for young disabled children. The home was founded in 1974 by the Government of Tanzania. At present, the school is sustained by the Government, the Society for the Deaf and other well-wishers. Winfrida Jeremiah is the head teacher of the school, where 271 student study, of whom 120 live there permanently. The age group for the students ranges from 3 to 15. In total, the institute has 41 teachers, whose students come from all over Tanzania. This is because schools like this are rare in Tanzania. The schooling is free for all the students, because the students come from disadvantaged backgrounds.
The school received various food items while children were presented with gift packets, together included:

- 120 packs of wafers
- 120 packs of chocolates
- 120 packs of biscuits
- 120 pieces of a variety of candy
- 50 kg sugar
- 30 kg rice
- 10 kg salt
- 30 kg beans
- 20 liters of cooking oil
- 50 kg of maize flour
- 10 packets of tea leaves
- 120 loaves of bread
- 120 donuts
- 120 notebooks
- 120 pencils
- 120 sharpeners
- 120 erasers
- 120 pens
- 120 rulers
