On April 22, 2020, BAPS Charities showed their support for the incredible work taking place at the Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital by donating $5,000 to its foundation as well as providing 300 hot snacks, and 1500 water bottles for the brave healthcare professionals and staff working around the clock in these unprecedented times.
BAPS volunteers were greeted by Malisha Patel, Senior Vice President and CEO of Memorial Hermann Sugar Land along with department heads to receive support from the local BAPS Charities center.
In addition to the financial support, the volunteers from BAPS Charities, in collaboration with BAPS Shayona, displayed their gratitude to the brave healthcare professionals, administrators, and volunteers by delivering hot pre-packaged snacks to the hospital. Following government guidelines, strict adherence to proper sanitary practices in preparing, packaging and delivering the food was maintained by all of the volunteers involved. The food was prepared, packaged, and delivered by volunteers maintaining strict adherence to CDC guidelines.
Volunteers at BAPS Charities locations throughout the world continue to evaluate situations to effectively provide support.
